JOE MANNING, CSCS, TSAC-F
I have always had a love for fitness throughout my life. I saw the importance of being fit and confident throughout my career as a police officer. I retired after 20 years of service with the Louisville Metro Police Department where I achieved the rank of Lieutenant.
I was in charge of numerous officers and units and developed a strong interest in teaching and helping others achieve their goals, be it fitness related or any other avenue in their lives or professions. I get extreme satisfaction when I see a client achieve something they thought they never could just a few months earlier. This is one of the main reasons, if not the main reason I enjoy teaching.
I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist(CSCS) and Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator (TSAC-F) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I have 10 years of coaching and instructing experience. Also I have been training in the martial arts for the past 20 years, with 18 of those in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which I am an instructor in as well.
I received my black belt under legendary world champion Helio Soneca. I have used my fitness, conditioning, and other training numerous times in actual conflict situations during my 20 years as a police officer and it has always proven effective. I think there is no greater thing you can do than help someone achieve their goals and find that self-confidence that is inside all of us!
